A Legacy of Care in Northwestern New Jersey
Our story began over four decades ago when Dr. Tim Johnson and Dr. Jeff Clauss established practices with a shared goal of providing exceptional eyecare to the community. The first offices opened in Netcong/Stanhope (1977), Blairstown (1979), Sparta (1981), and Branchville (1984), soon followed by a joint office in Califon (1985). In 2024 our Stanhope office merged with our nearby Sparta location after the completion of a 2,000 SF addition to that 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility which is also home to The Vision Therapy Center. This collaboration united their individual practices to form what is now Eye Associates.
Over the years, we have grown by welcoming dedicated doctors who share our core values, including Dr. Bernie Mullin (1985), Dr. Diane Fabery (1995), Dr. Lisa Ruffle (2012), and Dr. Elena Martinez (2016). This continuity of care ensures our founding principles remain at the heart of our practice today.
